Im a newbie and my prior post was removed as I was not aware of sales poiicy.
I apologize for my ignorance of the rules.

Im resposting the pics for interest and discussion on this very nice watch that was recently serviced.
It was purchased by my grandfather in Luzern Switzerland in 1968. I was with him when he bought it.
Your comments on its history etc would be very much appreciated. thank you!

There are people far more knowledgeable than me that I'm sure will comment on your watch and its history.

I just wanted to say, that bracelet is 馃が awesome!

The pics are a bit fuzzy. Try holding the camera further back and zooming in. Better chance of more being within focus.

If you get rid of that you are the largest fool I ever met. They didn't make a whole lot of those. Yes, you can get a pile of money, but you ought to be wearing it, in my opinion, and if not at least keep it in the family. It really upsets me when people don't value remeberance of the people they loved.

As was said in the previous thread, it鈥檚 a no date reference, with date dial and movement. Furthermore the movement is a chronometer which is more often seen in Constellations.

Regardless as to whether you鈥檙e selling or keeping, I鈥檇 strongly urge you to try getting an extract again to confirm exactly what movement caliber and watch reference number it started out with. Then you鈥檒l have more of an idea of what鈥檚 original and what鈥檚 been changed.
