OK, I wasn't sure about that. Tried looking for another 168.0006 with a raised medallion and there it was under my nose the whole time.

At USD 1800, it is certainly a bargain. You can flip it easily for 20-25% profit.

But bear in mind that if you sell it on eBay via PayPal you lose 15% at least in fees. So making a quick profit starts to look rather less simple 🙁

ah ..... but Omegaforum sales section is not yet charging any fee 😁. Clearance price in here is similar or even better than eBay IMO.

And it is bought.... 🤩 Thx for all the help. Who knows, maybe it will be for sale after, when I get tired of looking 80% cooler 😁

FWIW, I love the co-signed dials, and given the choice between two identical examples, I'd choose the co-signed dial every time. It adds a touch of provence to the piece--and if we're applying the standards used in evaluating other brands--value too.

You did extremely well with this one. Just find a 10-sided or scalloped crown, and you're in business!

Thanks again! I would not have bought it without all the generous help from the forum. There is a vintage Omega specialist just 10 min. away, I am sure he can help with a crown 😀

That beauty wouldn't look amiss among a throng of new omegas, one of their timeless pieces I think.

I am not the only one apparently. My wife took one look at it and said it looked ugly on me, then put it on and said that it actually looked quite good on her 😒 😒

If you would like to have permission for next vintage watch purchases (which you will, I bet), It is advisable to share that with your wife.
Keyword is share.....not transfer. Convince her not to change strap into fancy pink, yellow or white strap. Keep the black or at maximum gloss brown croc strap. That way is win-win solution.
