Got iOS 7 on the 5 yesterday. Lots of very cool features. The keyboard function is much improved. Compass is now 3D and has a built in level.

I wondered how Ash got his 5S early, but then I realized they're a day ahead down under,

Have to say the fingerprint scanner is brilliantly executed, it just becomes so natural to use, and its so fast to unlock as well. The camera upgrade is actually fairly noticeable but the biggest thing is the speed increase is massive, I went 3GS -> 4S -> 5S but damn is this thing quick, everything, even extremely image and video rich apps are buttery smooth. I never thought I'd get to a point where my phone was fast enough to never make me wait on it but its finally reached that point.

Been playing with 7 for a day now and I have to say it is much more sweeping than I thought it would be. Keep finding new and improved additions, areas and smooth transitions. Wiped out any pre-upgrade concerns entirely. If you don't have at least an iPhone five now is the time to upgrade to fully utilize the benefits of ios 7.

The only problem for me to switch to iPhone is the screen size. Above 40 eyes are hard to please with smaller screen real estate.

Can't plug a 5 into the Ferrari - think I'll stick with the 4 - it's cheaper than upgrading the car.

It's called presbyopia. Solution is to fix the eyes not the phone!

I was grumbling about the $300 I'm going to have to spend on a 5S kit for my E46 330ci, I imagine the Ferrari equivalent is somewhat more pricey lol

I probably won't ever get an iPhone (though I do have an iPad Mini), but I've heard that the iOS 7 upgrade is also great on the 4.

Trev was complaining about iOS 7 being a little slow and sluggish on his 4, I think its better optimised for 4S+ at this stage. The mini is a simply brilliant piece of kit though, I laughed about it when it came out but its really the perfect size and balance, Trev uses his all day long and raves about it too.

They changed connector to the new lightening plug, that's why I'll have to rewire my bimmer to get it to work again

The adapters don't work? I know they're cheap Chinese crap, but frankly, so are the Apple branded accessories.

I'm lucky that I can plug in through USB in the car for charging and use nothing at all for the iPod feature (Bluetooth in the Volvo).

The charger on my Mophie juice Air has a micro-USB conector, works great.
