Yes especially now that we know of this:

So did Omega change their wording last spring after I ordered mine and before @uwsearch ordered his, OR do they consider early Speedmaster 125s to be part of a limited edition of 2,000 and the later ones commemorative but not limited? Hmmm....
Not just early serials but the alphanumeric codes as well 馃槈

If you don't mind asking Omega about the change on this remark related to your 125, as well as all your other questions, there may be a smidgen of hope for some new info 馃榾

True, except mine, which is right in that early batch, has no code. But it is worth asking the question - "did my watch come with a code?" Perhaps either the caseback was replaced or it is worn away, although it doesn't appear too worn or polished.

Not just yours, but from your records it seems there are many more in the same early batches but without caseback code. Let's just hope Omega actually have, or still have, clear records on this mess 馃槈

2019 Update:
My original analysis turns out to have been right. Through collaboration with Watch Books Only we have confirmed that Omega made far more than 2,000 Speedmaster 125s. Check out Speedmaster125.com for more than 90 pages worth of information on the 125.

Thanks a lot, I am glad you like it. The 125 is a special watch and hopefully more people will realize what a success it was for Omega.

A solid one! As I've said before, you must've been one of those who did the German tanks analysis. 馃憤馃憤

You have done some excellent research, Andy! This personal engagement and enthusiasm adds very special value to the fascinating world of vintage watches.

I think that the data I have send about mine will match to your results. I'll let you know in case I find more 馃槈

Thanks, I saw it too. Notably it is the first I've seen with the updated extract format which no longer says anything about it being an anniversary edition...

Ah ok ... are you an OF member from Germany? I guess then you have the local eBay platform on your radar screen!

No, I'm in the US but I use a site called geo-ship.com to set up alerts for 15 international eBay sites.
