Were 14k backs and option on 1980 seamaster Deville
Do not see listings. Any info. I like watches with a story. He fought in WW2, built the European marketing arm of a billion dollar company and after decades at Becton-Dickinson got this watch up his retirement. Looks like he died a decade ago at 93. But his watch and memory live on. Any info for a newbie.

The caseback on this 1966 retirement Geneve wasn`t standard issue either. I guess they have generic 18k casebacks for this purpose.
Sorry for the shitty pics.

When I was un-ceremoniously fired from the Board of a Public company (after a hostile takeover) I felt badly that I was not given something for my years of service. Bought myself a watch. Had the last laugh as Rolex has gone up in value much more then their stock. And, I suppose the tradition of the company "man" is fading (the last suit you will ever wear), but would like to hear more if others have one of these "retirement" watches. A timeless bond between people and a brand that exemplified excellence in life. If our vintage watches could talk, sometimes they can. RIP John Hannan. We will take it from here.

The whole case is 14K gold, based on the hallmark.

Up through the early 1980’s Omega’s US importer, Norman Morris, had a division that catered specifically to corporate awards like the watch above.
