It should, the lug width of the Speedmaster case (and the overall design) has not changed much since 1966 or so.
Hi there, did you ever get a definitive answer on this as I have a 1479 with 812 end links and can't get it to seat properly on my ref 311 Speedmaster
Ok thanks. Got a new speedy pro and can't get the 1479/812 to seat whereas the 1998 is no problem. Should I use different pins other than the ones that came off the 1998?
I had an issue getting the 812 end pieces to sit well on both my 3950.50 and 1968 Speedmaster as well. If you have a small fine metal file it may help to take 2 or 3 light passes across the part of the end piece that I have the arrow pointing to. Once I did this the end piece set perfectly on both of my watches.

Thanks for all this great info. I recently acquired a 3570.50 and wasn't sure a 1479 would fit without modification.
Sorry, old thread but does anyone know if this style bracelet is a wrist hair puller?! I fancy the 1479 for my Speedmaster Pro but I had similar style bracelet on the Speedmaster Reduced and suffered a little with that.
The 1479 is not a hair puller like the 1171 and it’s a much sturdier bracelet, although not nearly as bulky as as its successor. It’s my second favorite Speedy bracelet after the 1175 - that’s the best.
