Late Bulova crown, 15(?)xxxxxx serial, and a bracelet stretched to hell and back. Low feedback seller who's previous sales include a vintage Tudor and a "145.022-69". What else is there to spot?

funny, looks like the seller had a bit of a tangle in the past with a buyer over an $8.54 item:

Buyer has serious mental issues. Should seek professional help ASAP. Sad for her

"Buy the seller" is a motto I have lived by but when it comes to a pretty clear project watch, does this matter as much?

When I feel like I know what I'm looking at, the person selling it matters less. That being said, I refuse to consider watches coming out of south Asia and Korea, too risky.

why project ?

all it needs is a new bezel and a crown, service of movement as usual and a little polish of the crystal, the case looks very good and i bet my ass, afte the crystal is polised the dial will be a stunner

just as a side note .... this watch is a good example for my thoughts

everybody is looking for the "perect condition" 60 years old watch with all matchy matchy appearance, no scars, box and papers.
yes they are out there but only in a very limited amount. this one looks for me like a very honest watch (even the butchered lume pip of the bezel) the condition is consitent on all parts.

as of the limited availability of "the perfect" time capsules dealers and private go and pimp their watches. then everbody starts complaining "ahhh ... thats a put together " bla bla bla

IT is what u ask for , just a matter of demand and delivery. if you would ask for honest watches you would get something looking like this one

just my worthless 20 cent

My 2913-8 barn find from a neighbour who’d owned for last 20 years and kept in a glasses case. Had her serviced, replacement minute and hour hands. Insert believed to be original. Deserve more attention than they get, beautiful watches ;0)

I totally agree, I'd be all over this one if it was local to me. This is the best way to find them IMHO

I understand. More of what I meant by project was that the watch has not been fully prepared for the sale. Meaning the seller should be taken more into consideration if the watch is being sold as a finished product.

I did not mean the watch was not a good buy, I meant to pose a question as the topic of discussion on this post had been centered around the seller as opposed to the watch.

My apologizes.

Aren't the bezel inserts on these mega rare? Does aldo still do his magic?

For what it's worth, I just bought a watch from this seller last week on eBay. Those same nails were in the pictures of the Tudor I bought, but the guy selling is a different guy. Who knows what the arrangement is, but he's legit.

Indeed, the sheer amount of gunk on the case was enough to make a vintage nerd blush!
