    Hey all-

Please see below images. My assessment:

Correct short indices, stepped dial, wide spaced t swiss t
Reasonably good dot over 90 bezel
    Movement 30MM matches up
Working on case pictures but seems unpolished (?) (update: seems polished)

I would place somewhere between good and running. Maybe 4000 USD?

Maybe the hands are replacement, since the square chrono seems like it is mostly associated with '68s

I would hop on that for $4k. like the look of it, and will look better in good lighting.

In my observations, the square ended Chrono hand was first fitted to the 145.012 and ran along side the drop end into the manufacture of the transitional 145.022-68. So up to this point both hands could have been fitted to these models.

The op watch is from a later period and therefore I would expect to see the square end Chrono that is carries.

Because of the blacked lume, which matches each hand, I would suppose the hands are original.

Bezel alone is worth probably a third of the price.

    Easily, IMHO.

My impression, unsupported by actual research, is that DON bezels, sold separately from the watch, may sometimes fetch more than the value they add as part of the whole.

Perhaps someone with more passion for Speedmaster market values will care to provide data to confirm or refute that impression.

Obviously not a mint example, but super pleasing for a worn watch and I'd be very happy with it.

I tend to agree. DON bezel sold separately will be targeted by collectors who REALLY NEED the DON bezel.
These collectors already own their straight lugs or pre moon Speedy without DON bezel or with really beaten up DON bezel.

Thus buying the nice DON bezel only, will "complete" their search to make their pre moon Speedy whole again.

Or if they have no DON bezel at all (wrong DNN bezel installed for example, with itch to make it right), they probably will settle with beaten up DON bezel with lower price than nice condition DON on $3K.

But this also applies to other parts of other watches like Rolex's Fat Font inserts (Mk1,2,3), Gay Freres bracelet for UG, Heuer and Zenith

I think since spacefruit added the bit about bezels to the price chart, the value - and prices - of DONs have somewhat stabilized. Of course, there is a range of prices just as there is a range of bezel quality, but there's reference point for assessing how much to spend vs what value it adds to a watch (anything with base 1000 bezel excluded).
