Did anyone see the 67 on HQ Milton's site last night? It was up for less than 12 hours, Asking was about $7600 head only. I was vetting it and now it's sold :( and now listed in his sold section on a green NATO I believe.
    Looked VERY nice.
I am hunting for one and still learning the price points. Where should my budget be for a super nice original head only 145.012?
    Thank you!
    Russ

That watch was quite nice, except for the hands. $7600 would be basically a totally-perfect 145.012, with extras like B&P or a bracelet. I'd not pay more than mid-6s for that one though.

It just shows you how big a customer base they have and how poor their knowledge of Speedies is.
Poorly described, not correct, not cheap and sold in 24 hours.

Assuming this was the watch- http://www.hqmilton.com/watches/1967-omega-speedmaster-145.012-calibre-321-pre-moon1

Considering hands are probably the easiest part of a vintage Speedmaster to find and correct, and everything else looked pretty good on that watch, I don't think it was a bad buy. Expensive, yes, but if the person buying really wanted a 321 Speedmaster and planned on keeping it for a long time (and correcting the hands) I could see it happening.

Seems like a nice 145.012 with the exception of the hands and the re-lume job. They are asking more since they can with their brand recognition. I'm looking for a 1675 GMT Master and it seems HQ Milton has this "premium" akin to the the Hodinkee bump.
