Wondering what you guys think of the lume on this 145.012-67. 1 o’clock looks a little dodgy to me but it wouldn’t be the first original dial I’ve seen where the lume jumped the track a bit or got crushed by a watchmaker a little. Thanks!

Well 145.012's are known for puffy and uneven lume. In my eyes it looks original. A relume I think would be more perfect.

Thanks! I agree. But it’s always nice to hear other opinions. This is my birth year watch, 1968. And I’m about to go for it. I think. No small change. But how cool would it be to buy your birth year Speedy on the day of the 50th anniversary of the launch?

Looks original. Note the missing lume on the 9, 11, 12, & 3 plots.

The “r” looks a tad short but I may be seeing things.

As others have said, looks original from these pics, though it is very thin or missing as @ndgal points out.

Also, make sure there's a step. Looks like there's one, but it's not very well defined in these pics. Probably the light.

Last thing for me is the hour hand. Damaged and repaired near the center?

Edit to add: even if the hand was repaired, that wouldn't necessarily stop me.

Yeah the dial is a beautiful step. The lighting is dead flat. All these watch dealers are photographing everything in those terrible light boxes these days.

The minute hand is obviously missing a bit of paint. But the lume didn’t crack oddly enough. so not sure I’d say it was necessarily repaired. Damaged yes, and if anything maybe un-repaired?

This is the curse of the 145.012’s ... for some reason a lot of them lose lume in blobs and chunks, especially when clean and dry and freshly yellow like this. Wouldn’t stop me, just another sign of authenticity.

Nice! Thanks to all for the feedback. I pulled the trigger. Here she is on a cheapo NATO in honor of launch day.
