Omega did not make the dials.
The dials were made by Singer. The reason you see inconsistencies in the lume application is due to the fact that the dials were made in batches.
When Omega ordered parts from its vendors, (like any manufacturer) orders are usually done on a quarterly basis. Therefore, between one order batch to another, there could have been a change that was implemented to the lume application method by the dial manufacturer with or without Omega's input. We really don't know.
Once you have handled enough examples of the same reference you can establish a pattern or a timeline of when these minor changes took place.
From my experience, I can tell you that this "Worm-like" lume is correct for the 26.07X.XXX serial range, usually seen with the "Teardrop" chrono hand.
