How can we tell if a watch has really clean original lume or if it's a really good relume? This 145.012-67 dial looks good but is it redone? Thanks

as @trash_gordon said, UV lamp is a must to check the lume.
Your dial looks original but I am more circumspect about the hands installed

I guess it's because they match perfectly. I'm more concerned about the dial, relumed hands don't bother me for some reason.

Care to elaborate?

Hands looks very even and clean, I would like to see them under UV light to be sure they're not relumed

Looks lovely, relumed or not!

hasn't the bezel been touched-up, too?

It looks almost too good & clean to be straight...

and this might be a clue as well... how much is the seller asking?

Someone got a nice one, 26 million serial.
Caseback has some toolmarks but is otherwise in good shape

Case looks crisp

If Relumers are useing degraded tritium, how does a UV lamp help identify a relume job?

Not trying to be argumentative just curious...

The dial lume on that watch looks very much like the one on my -67. Slightly shrunk and with some darker spots in it. A similarity in hour and minute hand lume can also be seen on these two watches.

OP lume is identical in color on dial and hands. It does look relumed to me.

Here my -67 for comparison:

this - check the third answer to this extremely insightful thread:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/walking-on-eggshells-recognizing-cosmetically-enhanced-1675s.76788/

For the record - I was at a very fine watchmaker's office a few days ago and he said that as soon as he can find some trit' on the intrawebs, he can offer reluming services... voila... let's brace ourselves I guess 😵‍💫

Paul
I honestly think it wont make a difference if it enhances the watches look they I say why not

Id rather look at a nice watch than a watch with missing lume and chipped hands but thats just me

I know that LAWW offer "hand re-lume with period correct material (tritium) that is consistent in texture and color matched with excellent results" but that's the hands.

I have no problem re-luming the hands (because I've seen excellent results) but touching the dial is usually seen as a no no because re-lumed dials usually look crap...

This one looks great but very clean for it's age.
