Quick question for anyone familiar with this movement, as I might be coming into one of these soon. When the time comes to replace the battery (presumably for a 301/386 1.5v), will I need to remove the little screw that attaches to the prong that holds the battery in place? Or is that simply a tensioner but the battery can be slid in/out without removing the screw? (Not my picture, but you can see what I'm talking about here, bottom center.) Thanks for any guidance!
If you use a magnetised watchmakers screwdriver you can unscrew and remove completely so don’t be afraid to keep turning anti-clockwise. Super easy to replace as well. Without removing the screw and clamp it can sometimes be a little tricky to clear the battery for removal.
