Quick question for anyone familiar with this movement, as I might be coming into one of these soon. When the time comes to replace the battery (presumably for a 301/386 1.5v), will I need to remove the little screw that attaches to the prong that holds the battery in place? Or is that simply a tensioner but the battery can be slid in/out without removing the screw?

(Not my picture, but you can see what I'm talking about here, bottom center.)

    Thanks for any guidance!

Yes, you loosen the screw and the clamp swings over for battery changes.

If you use a magnetised watchmakers screwdriver you can unscrew and remove completely so don’t be afraid to keep turning anti-clockwise. Super easy to replace as well.
Without removing the screw and clamp it can sometimes be a little tricky to clear the battery for removal.
