Hi there! I'm a new owner of a omega speedmaster professional. It came with the 1171/633 bracelet. I've read most omega enthusiasts enjoy this bracelet, and that it is sought after. Mine has hollow end links and is very rattly. I'm assuming this is normal for the 1171/633 bracelet. Do new spring bars help at all? Or is this all to be expected? And if it is normal, why are these 1171/633 bracelets so sought after? Lol. Loving the watch so far. Just curious about this bracelet. I like the aesthetic compared to other bracelets I've seen.

    Pictures?

Sought after as they are correct for many references and good looking. They are more solidly built then the 1171/1 that replaced it.

I see. So they are correct for many references, decently built. I'm sure I'll get used to the rattle. Already love the watch. Don't see myself letting go of this one anytime soon.

Correct trapazoid logo. Have a good watch maker look at why the end links are loosennyou do not want that.

Oh cool. So maybe they can tighten this up!? That would be great. I may just mail it to an Omega specialist for a full service.

Yes, I got some good recommendations here. Thanks for the warning though. I don't think that is repeated enough based on what I've read.

If you can find them, the 1450 and 1479 bracelets are superior (imho) and both have solid end links. The 1450 will likely cost $1500-$2000. The 1479 can usually be found (but not that often) for around $600-$800.

Gahhhhhhhhhh! That's what I paid for this watch! I'll have to get used to the clanking :)

That’s certainly nothing to Gahhhh over ;)

Honestly, you’ll get used to the 1171 and the bracelet sounds will become normal. My 633 currently has a bit of jingle that catches me off guard every once and a while. However, it’s still a great bracelet imo - if you disagree, put her on a leather strap for a bit and give the clank a break.

I’ve got a 1171/1 that clinks... it should be worse then a 1171, it doesn’t bother me.

If it bugs you buy an SKX on bracelet and wear it a few days. Let’s be honest you will buy an SKX at some point and that the loudest OEM bracelet ever.

I have found that a thicker spring bar that is a tight fit (but not too tight) through the bracelet end link is a good starting point.

The 'ears' on the back of the end piece are then adjusted so that the end piece is a tight fit to the case when the bracelet is held in position with the spring bars.

Sometimes a little trial and error involved but stay with it and it should work out.

I think I could do this myself. Gonna give it a try today. Maybe I'll swing past the Omega shop and get thicker bars. Thanks for the tip. One side is tighter than the other, so I thought something could be done.
