Hi, I have a 1067 flat link bracelet that needs some help. I think the springs are broken ? What to do with it ? Can i buy new springs or how to fix it ?
No one is currently making these springs, to my knowledge. There was a member here who made some, and I contacted him a few months ago to order 10, but never heard back. Links for these bracelets sometimes come up on eBayPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network, but you'd have to buy several to get the 6-7 springs you need for that bracelet. If you find some springs, PM me and I can install them for the price of postage.
A user called mcgyver makes them but it seems he isn’t a fast responder. Try to pm him and pm again if you don’t find any on eBay. https://omegaforums.net/threads/fixing-broken-springs-in-a-1039-bracelet.50058/#post-600529
In the meanwhile you can restore it using those: I used them to restore an Eberhard bracelet that had broken springs. Both bracelets use the same spring loaded links. Seems unconventional but works pretty well...
I would send it to Michael Young in Hong Kong, he can fix the springs and tighten the fixed links as well.
Always exciting to send a relatively expensive bracelet all around the world. But he makes a good job
As mentioned about. Michael Young is your go to guy. It'll cost you $250.00 but you'll be well pleased with the results.
A swedish site offers springs for a 1039. About 20$ per piece. http://www.urdelar.se/Spring for Omega Bracelet, no: 1039 I’ve heard people using a main spring cut to sizes as well.
Waking up an old thread. Having read this I contacted Roger ( @mcgyver ) to buy some springs for my 1067 bracelet - which he still offers. The springs were excellent quality and have transformed my gappy bracelet to it's former glory
