    So been offered a Speedy...

Thing is, it has a transitional case back 145.022-68, cal 321, DNN bezel (wrong), serial dates it to 1967 (25007xxx) non runner as it does not wind so 100% needs a service, head only after I remove the sweat stained strap. Pushers are changed, crown is 32 teeth

Problem is.. this could either be a 105.012 or a 145.012.

Its also in need of some TLC to remove the gunk and years of wear on it!

    Thoughts...

Always comes down to price. The case back is very odd, but valuable. The case looks quite damaged in places, but difficult to be sure from the pictures. Personally I would value it as parts, keeping in mind the potential cost of a correct case back.

I think that serial would make it a 145.012

Order an extract, only way to be 100%.

This is a Speedy that has been worn and loved. Parts have been changed on these watches to keep them performing. Cherish it for this ( the real barn find IMHO).
Of course the price has to be right since it might not appeal to the fickle taste of collectors.

Since it's a mishmash of parts not sure you can trust anything. If they replaced the caseback and pushers who knows if the movement (or bridge with serial) hasn't been replaced, which might not be made clear by getting an extract. Apart from the serial, the case back and pushers are the only ways I remember to distinguish between a 105.012-66 HF and 145.012-67 with the teardrop chrono - someone let me know if there's another way.

    Yeah I know.

    I'm also leaning towards 145.012

Issue we have is that Moonwatch Only says the serial could be either.

    105-012-66 Serials 24,533,xxx - 25,448,xxx
    145.012-67/68 Serials 24,066,xxx - 26,554,xxx
