Hi everyone, Long time lurker and not quite sure why I never registered earlier. I guess I just kinda enjoy reading/hearing the conversations and discussions in the background and learning from it. Well I guess my speedy enthusiasm began with a 3570.50 followed by a more recent tintin omega. Space has always captivated since my first telescope from a more innocent time. Subsequently, I have been starting to hunt for a nice vintage omega circa 65-68 to add to my collection. Finally starting to scout around and this posting caught my eye on a watch listing website for a 105.012 CB 66. I'm not in a rush, and may not pursue this piece further but I am keen to ask the forum members on your thoughts, opinions and collective wisdom on this piece, and any tips or things to look out for is always and gratefully appreciated! Nice watch, good shape. Typical lugs for a 105.012-66 CB case. Tritium is not perfect, in particular at 12. Missing case back pics.
Looks like a replacement crown but pushers seem correct for that of 105.012's. CB facets still remain visible. Serials match the year. Same as above, a little flaw on the dial and missing case back photos. Good luck hunting!
Bezel is still really nice, since it's a DON, that is worth a lot now. I like the patina and the bracelet is great, good luck!
Thanks for your replies really appreciate it. It just crazy how they've jumped in price over the past few years (arrgh!). Its depressing really. Sometimes I feel panicky that if I leave it further it starts to drift away with each year. Do you think the replacement crown matters much ? I think it is a service crown of the same period in time.
Good points and trying to get more pics of the lume which has now become very obvious since it's been pointed out ! Again thanks for all your sharp and keen eyes.
