105.012-65 Correct Dial - Wide T?

I am restoring my dad's watch back to its original form. A sibling of mine had a newer Luminova dial put in 10 years back and I'd like to replace it with a period/reference correct tritium dial. My watch is a S/N 2400XX serial, so slightly later in the production window for the 105.012-65 (2282 5xxx - 2452 7xxx).

I have a good lead on the dial below, but from the research I've done (including this great Chronoholic reference), while the B2.MK2 dial on the 105.012-65 had slightly wider 'Ts' than the B2.MK1, the B2.MK2 isn't quite as wide as the one I found for sale (including the Chronoholic article image for ref as well). Other signs such as font, etc on the dial seem to infer that it may be correct for the watch, but any perspective from the experts here?

Your dial may be for 145.012 with wider Ts
if its in good condition and priced well, it still may be a good choice though

While nice you have a lead on a dial, that dial looks really rough. I would take your time and hunt for a slightly nicer one. The scratches all over the dial would drive me crazy

Here is my 105.012-65 with wide T’s, but it’s a very late serial (24,537,xxx) from a known April 1967 batch that chronoholic has documented.

These dials also have a more matte texture rather than the later glossy textured dials.

That's a beautiful dial. Great to have the affirmation that the dial I'm looking at wouldn't be entirely 'incorrect' in my watch, but def agree with you on the shape of it - it's a little rough!

My gut feeling is a wide T dial isn’t correct for a -65, with them being first seen on some -66’s.

Yes, I have seen quite a few late 65's with the wide T dial- they also have slightly different numeral font that looks very similar to the transitional "Armstrong" subset of 65's.

This is my Speddy 105.012-65 with movement number 24.532XXX from January 1967. It's matte texture and brown.

There should be some sort of warning on a post like this. A little hot for a Sunday afternoon.

If something is worth showing, it should be shown. This watch looks good in photos, even though the bezel isn't the best.
