A couple weeks ago I dropped my watch off with Tanner at tmwatchco and it’s coming together very nicely. He does great work and from the photos I couldn’t be happier! For a little back story on this watch, I picked it up from a friend I’ve known for a long time for a very reasonable deal and am glad he had come across it. I had always been nervous of buying one online and could never seem to find what I was after while looking locally in all the areas I have traveled for work. I told him I was looking for one and a couple days later he told me he found one and he’d sell it to me. After first seeing it, I knew I had to have it and there came the anticipation and trying to get it after he first showed it to me. I thought there for awhile he didn’t want to let it go. It took months to talk him out of it. I even enlisted the help of his son who I used to be paired with at work for years. I randomly got a text one day from him saying what it would take to get it. I agreed, obviously. Anyways, the watch has come along way from being found in the trash can by one of his friends along with all the other leftovers after an estate sale. I don’t know of any history besides it was found in North Dakota and will find its home with me wherever I am. That’s my story with the speedmaster.
I can’t say enough good things about Tanner and his craftsmanship and willingness to work with me on everything. He has always responded to me through text or phone through everything. If you need a basic service or a full restoration, I would recommend him, highly.
Either way, here is a picture in the state I got it in vs. some pictures of it almost completed by Tanner.

Impressive... what did he do to the hands?
Re-lume, clean, etc? They look incredible.
Very nice job period

Very nice work. The hands in particular, as above would love to know how he got them back to that state.
Enjoy.

That is an impressive turnaround. Also interested on what kind of treatment was done to the hands

Tanner can restore the hands but, I opted to hunt for an original Tritium set instead. That was a fun task on my part, not really but we got through it. I did have him restore the sub hands to match though. As for the hesalite, I kept the original and had Tanner source an omega replacement. I’m anxiously waiting for him to tell me it’s completed and find time to go pick it up.
If you guys are looking for an excellent watchmaker/ restorer I highly recommend him and his work.

I have heard a lot of good things about TM and will be contacting them on a very special (to us) old Seamaster for a movement service. Your watch is coming along great!

If it’s an old 300 with a second hand like the speedys I know he has a near mint one from my project. Little mishap on a sellers part when I ordered a NOS hand set.
I know he has some of his work posted on here but his website has some work he’s done also. I’ve seen some in person and man, fantastic work is all I can say!
