105.012-64 HF: Advice on sourcing correct hr & minute hands

Hi all,

I bought an HF-case 105.012-64 (cal. 321) and I'm trying to source an original pair of hour and minute hands.

Unfortunately, the original hands had their white paint stripped before I bought the watch. My watchmaker has suggested restoring them, but I'd much prefer to find an original vintage pair if possible.

I'm not looking for a mint or NOS set. The watch has plenty of honest wear, so I'd actually prefer hands with similar character鈥攁ged paint and even missing tritium would be a great match. The bezel is actually quite blueish, but it doesn't really show in my photo here.

Does anyone have any advice on where to look, or know if these hands were shared with any other 1960s Omega (non-Speedmaster) references from whence I could pluck them? I don't think I've ever said whence before.

Much thanks.

Hahaha I know! I bought it for the bezel and the case, and for some bizarro reason the bezel was on upside down.

If you are looking for Speedmaster hands I think Ebay is the place for you...

Any lume left on the dial? Doesn't seem so...

What are your plans for the watch?

Pushers seem wrong, would you mind sharing some more pictures?
watchmaker reckons the pushers are OK but one has an incorrect tube which he's attending to. in terms of plans, keep for now and probably move it on eventually depending on how much it grows on me.

thanks for your thoughts, Passover

Out of curiosity, how come you chose not to have the original hands restored?

Still weighing it up ... and glad of any opinions out there. Totally baffled as to why the hr/min hands were stripped of their paint but the other hands weren't.

I've looked on eBay and found two handsets that look right for my watch, i.e. quite a bit of wear and correct for the watch, but sellers aren't replying to confirm if they think the lume is of the period or later.

These ones for e.g.: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204955147772

Thanks Passover, I think I'll pick one up as it's a nice detail to have correct.

Those hands on Eb have black lume and pricey 拢499!
I would Save your cash for service and crown and pushers, and have original painted with lume to match sweep
