Hi all, am rookie here. Need help on subject. Got an offer for a 105.003 (no bracelet) with attached pix. and like to know if it's genuine. Cal.321, S/no. -65 249x xxxx, Stepped Applied Metal Logo, Long Hour Indices, No Professional text, closed spaced T SWISS T, Str Lugs, C/back with dustcover with Speedmaster engraved, Your valuable comment is most appreciated. Thanks PS. : the bottom springbar cannot be removed.
It looks OK but I do have one alarm bell ringing, the lugs on that case looks absolutely pristine hyper sharpe, almost too good, in contrast to the bezel, which is showing appropriate age and the dial and hands which are showing appropriate age I believe the watch is currently listed on ebay out of Peru? but I could be wrong?
Hi Tom, many thanks for your comment. You are yupsolutely right, ... the Peruvian again. Am so lucky to have all the valuable info and experiences from the people in this forum. Just read about the thread "Beware: Vintage Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66 # 24956XXX from Peru on ebay" And I was that closed to become the next victim. Cheers!
Easy to remove the springbar IF you get the watch. And the concern about the mismatch between case and bezel condition is quite valid..
