    Hi,

I bought a 1040 brick bracelet, I noticed that the clasp is no30, I thought that they usually had a no12 clasp, at least my other 1040 bracelet does. Whats the norm here?

I am not an expert but judging by the clasp cover this would be an early example hence the 30 in a circle.

The following pics show the progression of clasp numbers and covers for a 1170 with 22mm endlinks.

Note: the square logo example in the middle should actually be at the bottom.

I am assuming the 1040 had a similar progression but stand to be corrected!

    That's interesting! Thanks, maybe a little counter-intuitive.
When I look at the clasps - the no12 seems to fit a little better on the one side than the no30, which is interesting.
