    Hello All!

Long time lurking member here. I am seeking a bit of information about a bracelet that has come up. A co-worker has been cleaning up after the belongings of a recently deceased family member, and came across an old bracelet stamped with an Omega logo. Sharing a cubicle, and seeing my interest in old watches especially omega he asked what I could figure out as he has no use for it. Unfortunately, no head of the watch has been located. Through my searching / the endlinks involved 516 mean it was at one time likely attached to a Speedmaster. They are continuing to hunt as I let him know a range of value, but it is likely not to be found as they have gone through everything once again.

I am trying to ascertain a value, but it is a bit confusing as the standard "completed listings" method on ebay brings a pretty wide range of pricing. Many are best offer expected, and there seems to be a large variance between the year produced, condition, and prices with/without ends. Anywhere from $1,000-2,400 prices....

I have also searched the usual Speedmaster101, etc for any valuation. Before you reply "just put it on ebay and let it the price fall where it may" please pull your hands away your keyboard. Any positive help in ascertaining a better price range would be appreciated.

It is Stamped 2nd quarter '67, and looks to have all the stretch links in fine condition as a few were under the clasp. the two links before the stretch on each side portion appear to have a bit more play. I am not sure if this can be remedied, but it doesn't seem to affect it structurally just aesthetically.

    Thanks in advance for any help you can give. IMG_8077.JPG IMG_8077.JPG IMG_9087.JPG IMG_2892.JPG IMG_1201.JPG IMG_1356.JPG IMG_1126 2.JPG

I can't help much on price, but the best advice I can offer is to keep an eye on the little envelope icon.

Pricing for these is indeed bizarre on eBay. There's a guy now looking for $1,300+ for a pair of 516 endlinks. He's not going to get it.

Yours is a nice bracelet and an early year. Fair value with the 516's is $1,500--$2,000 or so.

Does having a bracelet like this refinished / restored affect the pricing as negative or positive? Seems not as cut and dry as the refinishing of a case.... Any thoughts?

No issues in refinishing the bracelet, if done correctly. Here is my 1039 before/after.

If you're simply selling, youre unlikely to recoup the cost of a good refinish at sale time and a bad refinish will certainly hurt the value.

Don't refinish; sell as a set either to an offer you will get via private message here, or put it up on Ebay starting at $1 and watch it fly.

Thanks for the help! He is still not sure what he is going to do with it. Last question: with holidays around the corner would it make more sense to wait a few weeks before auction via eBay as likely budgets and concentration of interested parties are tied up??
