    Hello everyone,

I decided to take off the 1039 bracelet off my 145.012 to give it a cleaning and change to nato for the weekend. This watch and bracelet configuration are my daily wearer.

While cleaning the watch, I discovered rust on the wipe as I wipes the bracelet.

I had this bracelet professionally restored by Michael in Hong Kong earlier this year. After the restoration, I had posted here and a member had PM’d me to suggest I should regularly run the bracelet through an ultrasonic cleaner, which I sort of have been doing.

Is the rust of any concern or should I just not worry and keep the course.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Not sure if what you're seeing is rust or dirt, but after an ultrasonic cleaning you should THOROUGHLY dry the bracelet using a hair dryer. Bracelet on towel, hair dryer on high, heat it until it's way too hot touch.

Thanks, the color was reddish like rust. I didn’t use a hair dryer, just let it air dry. Thanks for the advice, I will do that from now on.

What’s the reason behind needing to dry with a hair dryer? Like the OP I’ve always just let it air dry.
