This is a project I enjoyed doing very much. Many more but here is a sampling - total strangers, all whom let me take their portrait on the street.

Makes me think, what is this person going through, what's their story among other things. Very nice work.

I have always loved that shallow depth of field...
    These are very striking.

All such very interesting faces... no classic beauties, but all of them beautiful.

Did you choose at random, or find the subjects interesting and then ask?

It's interesting either way... random choice tells us how rarely we really look and appreciate those sharing the world anonymously with us.
(Easier to do when their faces are the only things on focus)...

Intentional choice speaks to your skill in finding interesting subjects...

    Either way, Bravo!

I have always stated that Art is meant to illicit emotion, not just look pretty (same with watches)... so you've succeeded in that effort.

Where can we see the rest?

Thanks for the response. I did have some criteria for making choices. First - if they looked too buys or in a rush I wouldn't approach. Second, they had to catch my eye in some way... weather it be photogenic or something they were wearing, their coat or scarf, or just an interesting look... like take the guy with the sunglasses & headphones - I just HAD to get him :)

I'm glad you enjoy the work. I can post more up or you can look me up on flickr

    Great photos!

Did they also sign a release allowing you to publish/post their photos? Is it required? Or do they imply consent by agreeing not to have a stranger photograph them?

No release needed unless I'm trying to make a profit on them... which I'm not, was just a fun project to take part in.

Just took a very superficial look at your Flickr page. Most excellent work!

Imagine what you can do with macro watch photography. Here's the standard reference:

Thanks - yeah I'd like to get a Macro lens someday. Right now I'm using my Canon 24-70L... its MFD is like 18 inches, not terrible but not a true Macro
