Why is "3" the magic number you ask... I definitely did...
number 3 was considered as the perfect
number, the
number of harmony, wisdom and understanding. ... It was also the
number of time - past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end - it was the
number of the divine.
But then again... my math major son chimed in with... 3 is actually an evil number...
"In number theory, an
evil number is a non-negative integer that has an even
number of 1s in its
binary expansion.
[1] These numbers give the positions of the zero values in the
Thue–Morse sequence, and for this reason they have also been called the
Thue–Morse set.
[2] Non-negative integers that are not evil are called
odious numbers.
The first evil numbers are as follows:
0, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 15, 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 27, 29, 30, 33, 34, 36, 39 .."
So, I'm back to:
"One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one
No is the saddest experience you'll ever know..." (Three Dog Night)
