Here’s my amazing gnarly strap contribution [see pic below]…an Omega Barenia leather NATO that I purchased soon after I received my new 1861 in 2015. I think I mowed the lawn at least 72 times wearing that strap…possibly 73 or 74 times…and some sweating was probably going on during most of those mowing evolutions.

Anyway, post your amazing gnarly straps here! 👍

I’ve sweated right through a chunky slab of leather NATO strap to the point that it literally fell apart as I was walking to work. I didn’t think to take a photo of it, but it learned me to wear only metal bracelets or canvas straps on my miserable sweaty commute in the summer, the highlight of which features a solid mile of walking in business wear in midday with not a hint of shade through the heat and humidity of Tokyo.

You know, this right here is why I can't get myself to drop good money on a leather strap. I live a dirty, sweaty existence and I'm always afraid I'll destroy leather straps.

Our lawn is dead at this time of year. Strap and watch from the same neighbour, who holds gigantic yard sales every few months. He is nice enough to always give me first shot at his watches and leather pieces.

Lawns mowed? Likely a few. None by me. Also… History unknown. Came with an old Hamilton many years ago.

Mow lawns? I don't mow no steenking lawns. Seriously, I don't have enough grass growing to bother, yet. Maybe late next summer, but will probably get a lawn tractor for my 1.5 acres by then. Wimpy, I know, but not much into physical exertion anymore. ::facepalm1::

Ballerina leather is incredibly tough - they don’t call it “the nutcracker” for no good reason. That strap should last you another few seasons.

No lawns mowed (we don't have a lawn) but this strap has been used for thousands of miles of dog walking 😀
