“Attractive” spring bars for cases with spring bar holes

Many of my Omegas have spring bar holes.

Recently I noticed when viewed up close some spring bars look better than others.

As you can see from the picture on one side of this 2576 case the spring bar neatly ends at the end of the hole, whilst on the other side it finishes just shy of the end. Are there such things as spring bars made for particular cases?

I notice that Cousins sell Omega spring bars, could. Be that one of these two spring bars is an Omega one whilst the other is generic? Where can I find one that matches the neater of the two for this watch?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Ollie 😀

The shoulderless spring-bars sometimes look a little nicer, but there's really no guarantee. This is the first time I have heard anyone worry about this. 😁

There are ∞ +1 things to obsess over in the watch world.

The final frontier is far far (far) away, even with the Omega Forums displacement-activated spore hub drive.

Admittedly I obsess over this as well. I've been buying every variation and type of 2mm spring bar for my Rolex 5512 in an attempt to find something well constructed and aesthetically pleasing. For now I've landed on Beco Technic spring bars. I find the construction and finish great. Look at it compared with some generic eBay spring bar (Beco Technic is on the bottom/left).
The closure chamfer is smooth, the finish is clean, and even the end of the spring bar has a slight dome. My only issue is the length. They are not quite as long so they sit in the lug hole a little deeper than I'd prefer. Anyways, I highly recommend Beco Technic shoulderless spring bars.

Funnily enough my “favourite” spring bars are indeed the ones with a smooth filleted edge too. They look ‘finished’ but then again I do like the have the holes filled. Upon examination of all of my ones that finish correctly. They look like this:

From the diagram below I would believe these are single shoulder spring bars, with a particularly long pivot.

i then found on Ofrei they sell spring bars in each length with specific sized pivots so it looks like this could be the result I am looking for!

Correction: I keep calling single shoulder shoulderless. They are single shoulder.
