D9 does a good custom ammo strap. You choose the maker of the pouch, the year, etc. he has everything from very old and worn, to newer and almost pristine pouches. Different ammo pouch makers have diff types of stampings. He will make a nice key chain for you out of unused portions. Pricing is high, and turn around long however.

Here is a 1952 I chose, made padded at my request.

I purchased a great deployant strap from Greg Spitz (via his WUS posts). Great quality and it looks great.

Hi all, I'm just curious about where people buy their watch straps from? I'm looking for good quality leather or nato straps based in europe/uk.

There have been many other threads on this topic, so you can get additional suggestions using the search function.

I saw some great suggestions in different threads but maybe someone could make a nice (sticky) thread where people can review different straps/strap manufacturers and post pictures. On the European side I tried so far Abp in France and de Griff in Belgium. Both have some very interesting offers.

Everywhere. On Ebay. From crafstmen that make bespoke straps like @Myron here, who makes great Horween NATO straps at Roverhaven — or from many other craftsmen.
Agree on suggesting the mods consider we make a big sticky about the straps as I feel I’ve typed a big recommendation list with detailed links and names about 5 times already. And so have others.

I will just add one more recommendation for people who spend time in France, if you have a week go get one made at Ken Clara, rue Bayen, an adorable shop in the 17th arrondissement where two vietnamese ladies make beautiful straps from a dazzling array of hides for 110 euros a pop, which is cheaper than B&S, JPM, Atelier Roussrau and ABP. They made a stunning shark strap with silver reflections for my nephew’s birthday watch. However there’s a catch: they do not speak English.

Calling that shark strap stunning is an understatement. And it works perfectly with the Seiko.

I agree they go perfectly together. I narrowly avoided a faux pas when I laughed that the strap was almost better than the watch. Had to rectify that they looked kick ass together 😁
