··LemaniacA nice low miles one just came up in the US, but has a salvage title, as the cost of replacing the front clamshell is insanely high in the US.
Weird as replacing the clamshell is not difficult for a DIY capable person.
The body parts are made of fibreglass, so anyone with some experience in boat repairs (or Corvette body work) should be able to fix up any minor damage.

·The weather has been too crap for taking old cars out but did get out on Christmas day for 20 mins. Recently replaced the starter motor. What a pain. Plus the had the rpm counter reconditioned. JDO £100. What a pleasure to work with them

Because like you said, insurance companies are quick to total them even with some relatively "minor" clam damage.
As long as any impact did not damage the frame, I'd be all over one.
Years ago you could pick up repaired, salvage titled Elise's for right around $25k give or take. Not so much anymore...
There was a place in south Florida called Wirewheel Motorsports that would sell salvage Elise's that they repaired (along with a lot of other interesting stuff).

they are great and used to be at the 28-38k range for years. Cheap to run as the Toyota motor is bullet proof and they do not eat brakes and tires like most sports cars.

In Florida, I can strap a cat-less V8 to a shopping cart, throw some lights on it, and get it registered lol.

·Audi announced that the TTRS is not available in Canada anymore so my '21 is the last year. They are a such a capable winter/bad weather performance car. You can beat on them year round and they never flinch. This is my 2nd one, sad to see them go, at least in Canada. Probably not many years left for the rest of the world as well.

I’ve got no clue what it’s going to do. Full tube frame, engine was relocated towards the back to be frame and the most insane suspension I’ve ever seen in a car with a stock body. It seems overkill for drifting… and a lot of money for a track toy.

·I’ll probably catch a lot of flack for this but if you can only have one to do it all, you could do a lot worse. BMW X5 M50i: 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and 160 top speed. I love mine.
