·Thanks Davy26 !!!! Sorry I did not see the Fulvia HF. wow what an army !! the HF was always my favorite. I used to own a regular Fulvia coupe , four speeds, and I felt I was out in space when I was driving it. I had an Alfa GT 1300 too, but the Lancia Fulvia definitely was different inside, more space , more visibility, and probably more elegant.

·Quite a long time ago I owned a Jaguar e-type series 2 2+2, and a Maserati Merak 3L, and a Merc 190 2.3. Sold each of them for less than £10k. Darn it.

·The Jaguar accelerated nicely, but didn't like slowing down. The Maserati just wanted to kill me. The Merc was a superb machine until its timing chain broke...

·This is my 356C, 1965, one repaint in '86, 121,000m. I sold her in August when I thought the market had peaked. While I miss her I think I timed it well. Missing an air-cooled Porsche, I immediately bought the '80SC Targa. I love it, but not like the 356C:

·Took the MG-A out for the first spin of the season yesterday. Runs like a charm, even without charging the battery over the last five months of storage. Just checked fluids and tire pressure and she was ready to go. I had thoughts about selling the car over the last months to get something more modern .... not anymore.

·Thanks. The 356C was almost perfect, if any 55-yr old car can be considered perfect outside the Pebble Beach concours lawn. I sold a 356B to buy this one. The disc brakes turned the C into a modern car, whereas the B's drums made it an old, slow, lady. The Targa is by no means a disappointment; it's the second Targa I've owned and I love them if you can only have one Porsche (first world, I know.) An open 911, at a discount from its coupe cousins, and far more satisfying than a Cab.
