My WWII Omega Fleet Air Arm HS8 with original aged dial and steel blue hands. I never get bored of wearing this wonderful watch and it still keeps great time
Very nice, is that one of the alloy cased ones? Someone else here has one just as beautiful but alas, the tight wee bugger won't put it on the FS forum
Yes, it is an alloy cased version. I am not sure if there is any difference between the Fleet Air Arm HS8 and RAF 6b/159 base metal. I think I read somewhere that the HS8 was more hardy as it had to deal with the salt sea air but perhaps someone on this forum can shed more light on this?
A Breguet Type XX Aéronavale 100th anniversary limited edition pilot watch made to mark the centenary of France’s naval aviation history.
This is also how I wear mine, a subtle strap that does not distract you for a moment from the most important part of the package....the watch! Could have come straight of the spacesuit wrist of an astronaut Why wear a 'blingy' chrome bracelet when Nato straps are extremely comfortable, cheap and most important if a lug snaps the watch still hangs on.
