    West german everyman's watch as far as I know - short for STOrtz WAlter, name of the owner. Producing decent watches under new management these days http://www.stowa.de/. Happen to have a nifty alarm with a chatoyant dial from them. Is it possible NOT to love the mangled english model name "Meeting Remember"?
