12295 I think, but regardless I agree with bubawatch - that is not the correct case for that reference, and in fact I doubt it is a UG case at all. It looks to me like a fabricated case to match a UG caseback, and I wouldn't be surprised to find it is less than 18K gold.
Thanks Lou and Buba! I appreciate the assistance! I thought the case and back didn't quite fit too well together and something seemed a bit off. As I'm just getting started in this, having a knowledgeable place to come to is invaluable! Out of curiosity, is there another resource for checking serials aside from "the book"? Thanks again!

Just ran across this one. Some of the worst photography I've ever seen on what looks to be a top-notch example of a Polerouter Deluxe: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-G...8k-Gold-Mens-Wristwatch-Vintage-/171126513691Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Price doesn't look to be ridiculous, but that postage from Canada is absurd. Why are the Canadians conducting a postal war with the US? gatorcpa PS - Dennis is not allowed to look at this one. I've done enough damage to his home improvement fund.
The starting bid = carpet for my upstairs. Passing due to potential health problems if that amount evaporates from the H.I. fund.
You know, you're getting a little tiresome with this whole "first we provide for food and shelter, then we buy watches" mania of yours.
That'd be brilliant, have some news crew doing a story on the state of the economy and homelessness in NJ bang on your window while you're asleep: "Good morning sir, sorry to bother you but we're doing a story and were wondering what adverse economic conditions lead to you and your family being forced to live in your car?" *Dennis holds up wrist* "Vacheron Constantin was part of it"
Actually that was not necessary, Maslow himself revised his needs hierarchy shortly before his 1970 death of a heart attack, after being told the price of a solid gold Brequet while visiting a Hollywood jeweler.
Is this one for real? http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-G...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item1c36d986c3Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Real? I think so. Dial is gold, too. It's been polished pretty heavily and the crown is wrong. Not worth $2K, IMO. gatorcpa
I know it's not a Polerouter, but I'd like some expert UG critique on this one. Thanks in advance Jim http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231035841213?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Looks to be in good shape, except for the marks at the bottom of the dial. Is that the crystal or the dial? That's something I'd want to clarify for sure.
Late model Valjoux 72-powered compax, so-called Nina Rindt, with wrong second sweeper and dial issues for BIN http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-G...H-VALJOUX-72-DAYTONA-PANDA-DIAL-/281172359811Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I really don't know the market for these Jim, but that seems rather aggressively priced for the dial issues Dennis points out.
Indeed. The viewer is asked to note the obligatory fatstrap - really the only acceptable way to wear the Nina Rindt.
