First shot is a collage of my friends Mini which he entered and competed in the Monaco Rally Made it for his birthday present The second is a commission - Winchester Cathedral Cloisters
The mini one has a real Warhol quality and the second one makes me think of an old song for some reason. Nice scans!
We must live quite close Foxy100 I am just down the road in Chandlers Ford - hope you have avoided the Floods
I'm in Winchester behind the cathedral, nice and dry at the moment thank you! Hope you're not close to any flooding?
Yes, that's mine. A 1958 100-6 BN6 that's not entirely standard, with over 150 bhp and more aluminium than steel. Shot on a road near Goodwood a couple of years ago, after a 17-year restoration!
Very nice, would love to see some full size shots and love that road looks perfect for an afternoon drive! Some gratuitous shots of mine...
I've been away for a few days, sorry for the late reply. Some gratuitous pictures of mine! For some reason I can't find any pictures of the rear of the car! Here's my MGB GT, which is the next project. It has 130bhp and a lot of nice modifications, including a five-speed 'box. The body is solid but needs new floors, sills, wings and a few small repairs - the typical places these cars rust in the UK. It's currently too low and stiff, I'm going to remove the rollcage and return it to a more normal ride height and stiffness but keep the extra grunt and so on. I need a classic car with good levels of comfort, I'd like to go and explore the Scottish highlands, Lake District in the north of England, Northern Ireland and so on and I'd rather do it in a GT with good comfort levels than take the Healey every time.
A friend lets me drive this from time to time too, we're insured on each others cars: I should never have sold this watch!
Very nice Foxy100, excellent background in Thet wrist shot! And good luck on your new project That looks to be a nice ride.
wow great shots of the cars Good Warhol-esk piece in the OP. Personally i would have given the background a very opaque texture to jive it up a bit more. Did it get received well?
Thanks pleased you like it and yes well received - both the prints are rather large 1meter x 1.61meters and still displayed one in his study and the other in the entrance hall.
