You're mistaking mundane sapphire (basically dirt) with Apple Sapphire, a common, if uninformed, belief.

It really does get rather tiresome trying to educated the unwashed masses who just don't realize Apple has been there from the very beginning.

They did back then, because that's how jewels got made - everybody made what they needed. Not like they do now, and making jewels is certainly not in the modern WOSTEP curriculum.

 

I own several Apple products - they are shite. After seeing the movie about Steve Jobs, I wanted to crush them all with a hammer. The man was a piece of shit.
