The subdial hands are original-type flat-end hands, not the usual pointy replacement type. Other hands are relumed or replaced. Nice looking watch... will probably sell around that price. Maybe add $1k these days for the bracelet and box.
I may be completely off base, I've been trying to research these becasue I really want one, so if anything I say is wrong please correct and educate me. I thought the subdial hands were supposed to be thinner for a 69. Along the same year, I thought the lugs were supposed to go all the way to the case without a "break" or "line" when it reached the head of the watch. Still going along the same year, I didn't think 69's had a star on the caseback? Oh, and am I missing something but it appears that the "T" is missing at 6 oclock where it says T Swiss Made T Like I said, I'm still learning. Pete
It's not a first series Pete, but slightly later ('70 is my guesstimate, same as mine). None the poorer for that though. In the advert it says 'production date: 1969' - which is true for the model. To be honest though - I don't think there is any 'official' date brackets for the various series, at least not that I've seen; just an extension of thought that it was produced for 3 years and came in 3 sorts of version therefore the later numbers were probably 70/71. Like you - I'm still learning though. The dial is spot on for that series - the 'A' in 'Automatic' slightly to the right of the H in 'Chronograph' and only one 'T' to the right of 'Swiss Made' and the 'El' nearly touching the subdial - no problems at all with the good, clean white dial. Very nice, sharp case with original graining, likewise the bracelet by the looks of it.
Hi GiGi, no I wasn't sure about the t Swiss made t. Like I said I don't know as much as I should and I am still learning. It appears that there is only supposed one T and not two as I thought. At least from the images I am looking at today. It sure is a gorgeous watch! A bit more than I have saved unfortunately.

Here's a strange one. A dial from an A386 in pretty rough shape. Wonder what the rest of the watch looked like. I think there was someone who bought an A386 here missing an hour marker, here's your chance. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/171201221921?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Nice condition but it seems to be another one with a replacement movement. The 2542 is a 21,600 vph movement and the Autosport Luxe states 28,000 on the dial so it should have either a 2562 or 2572 movement.
Blue Datron with GF bracelet, a nice way to get into Primeros...as they do not certify working, should go for low $1K http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:enPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

The rose gold chronograph has been relisted: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181291551041Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network The seller is in the same building in Chicago's Loop in which my watchmaker resides; I might just have to pay them a visit next week!
It looks like the little applied star beneath the 12 is crooked, and that they tried to shoot around it with oblique photos. Bugs me. Otherwise nice.
