Just hooked up a new Brother print/copy/fax/scan and thought I share some relevant pages from an old Norman Morris catalog.

So my speedy and sm300 were $350 total 40 plus years ago.

 

Geez, my old 145.006 Seamaster caliber 321 was $650 back then. Can't touch it for under $3K now and that's only if you're lucky. Even the 861 versions sell for $2500 - $3300 depending on condition.

 

Anyone know where I can find a time machine?

 

Ah, 1970, if only I'd used some sense and bought one of these, but like any young guy back then, I spent most of my money on beer and hookers and just squandered the rest ;-)

With my luck, I go back there and the machine would break and I be stuck in the 70's. I'd have a lot of cool watches though! Paypal, hell wire transfers probably weren't even around. I'd just bring a fistful of cash. It would be pretty funny to walk in and say, I'll take your whole inventory off your hands if you don't mind, and wait to see the expression on their faces.

 

I'll just come along with you..............as long as you bring the the right year series of cash.............. otherwise people will start thinking ......
