Regrettably up for sale is a rare 1947 Omega Chronomètre 2516 with scientific minute track dial. Stunning blue seconds hand and Original dial. Uncommon dial figure combination and gold button markers. Signed Omega Crown. This is a very uncommon transitional model between the early Centenaries and the Constellations with the similar rounded lugs of the 2500 Centenary. Flat bezel was possibly original design to the 14k models. This watch houses are chronometer bumper calibre 352 RG with 11mil serial in perfect working order. Serviced within the last two years. The solid 14k gold case measures 35mm approx and is hallmarked to the side and back of the lugs. The Swiss made case is in nice shape but has seen some polishing over the years, not surprising for a watch that is over 50 years old! Case back has one small ding but unnoticeable to the eye. The dial is a stunning two tone, with inner scientific minute track. Some oxidisation to the dial around the numbers, and omega script, but very unnoticeable. Blue second hand and gold dagger hands that are possibly replaced or slightly polished. The 2516 is a stunning and uncommon piece for your collection, seldom will these watches surface again. But needs must and I have some bills to pay! I am asking £1650 paid via PayPal (buyer takes the fees..) or bank transfer. I can ship internationally at cost. And will send via DHL courier at 34.95 without insurance, £45.95 fully insured. Watch is inbetween the two pictured. I have only seen the steel version, but never in 14k gold with a 352 and 2516 case!
it's a beautiful watch, with nicely contrasted dial! too bad i am still trying to develop a taste for the bumper movements. GLWTS
