Look at the movement and dial photos... http://watchestobuy.com/OmegaChronostop.htm If would have been a nice watch without the moisture damage!
Reminds me of the Titanic exhibit in Chicago. I assume the movement can be saved, are there dials for these?, is there interest? Makes you wonder about the story, eh?
It could just be the lighting. Those polished s/s hour markers do look odd under some lighting conditions.
Stewart, that movement corrosion isn't lighting or camera angle and I think those are barnacles growing on the 3,5 and 6 markers. You are right though, the lens does play tricks!
Chronostop baton does play tricks at different angles and light. I asked the seller was I being blind or stupid? 1 photo show all 12 metal baton, anther photo I lost 3 baton. He said my eyes playing tricks.
There's worse, see below. This is the mad men watch guy and he must have insane traffic coming his way. Panic buying! Smart dude. He's parlayed his mad men loan out deal into a used watch bonanza / orgy. He'a been running up every auction on ebay and immediately lists each watch upon receipt for 2 to 3 times his cost. Probably "discounts" 20% without batting an eyelash - he's moving product right now and probably isn't too focused on margins. Plus, he's got a built- in 10% price advantage over selling on ebay... If it seems like I'm jealous it's probably because I am.
