Here are some pictures that I took today. I inherited it after he passed away. I've had it in my toolbox since 1998. I did not know much about Omega watches. I always thought of it as a brass colored watch. Grandpa was a smoker. I figured out the other day that it had "nicotina", instead of "patina". :-0

Please tell me all that you can about it. Until I used a loupe on the front, I could never read the Geneve on it. I also thought the dial was faded until I saw the "Linen" post here. 100_5211.JPG 100_5215.JPG 100_5213.JPG 100_5216.JPG

Omega Geneve, automatic, caliber 563, produced in the early 70's, gold-filled.

The Omega vintage database didn't return any additional info on the case reference #166041, but that happens.

You've got an authentic and very nice condition heirloom. I'd get it serviced, then wear & enjoy!

My grandfather was a machinist for Continental Can in Chicago from the late 30's until 1960. He never got a watch. I'm sure if he were still alive he'd be jealous !

I'm sorry to hear that he never got a watch. I'm sure that they are both upstairs right now, and keeping the CCC lines running at full speed. My Grandfather was in charge of keeping the machines and lines running.
