I picked up an ebay enicar from a (new to me) local watchmaker yesterday evening after work. In the car, I showed it to my wife and asked what she thought, and she said it was "OK". She tried it on, and although it was slightly masculine it had a fancy dial (hopefully not mumbai, it was white scalloped) and was passable as a woman's watch. Last night when we got home, I noticed that it went into her jewelry box. This morning as we left for work, it was back on her wrist. Mixed blessing?
Remember the eBay Enicars are far easier to lose through marital attrition than DeLuxes. If she likes that kind of dial, you should boast about your "great find" when you score a Lucien Piccard vintage scalloped guilloché dial. That should only set you back a few hundred even in solid gold, and will let you buy 3 or 4 more watches unhindered.
