Some of you may remember the Zenith-UG franken I posted several months ago http://omegaforums.net/threads/adventures-in-watch-collecting-what-would-you-do.11969/ I have assembled all the parts necessary to return it to its original UG identity. I have 2 dials that would fit. The first is a used Uni-Compax dial that I know is correct for this reference. It has light spotting and a dent around 2 o'clock. The second is a Medico-Compax service dial, in pretty decent condition. Which one should I use?
Got to say I would go original on this dude with the Uni dial. Plus, I love that red/blue lettering. But that is just me... Wayne
I would have placed my vote on the uni-compax, if it wasn't for that damage. That's a great shame on an otherwise great dial....
If the medico was an option for this case reference then that is the choice. Otherwise I would go with the unicompax.
I can see that watch on the wrist of a good old fashioned doctor. The type who made house calls in days gone by.
It's UG for crying out loud. Everything is an option. Go Medico. When you guys figure out the UG canon, let me know.
