I have a Cal 1342 purchased in Lucerne in 1978. After the last battery replacement it began running fast and I had it serviced by an Omega specialist who has advised me that an electrical issue (possibly related to the last battery replacement) has caused the movement to become unable to be adjusted by the regulator (the adjustment required is outside the range of the regulator). He made enquiries with Omega here (Australia) and advised that the only option was for the watch to be returned to Switzerland to be rebuilt. Has anyone else had this problem?
There's a electronic circuit on ebay, don't know if this would be an alternative for you? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-cal...239?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ecfe3d7c7Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Parts for the movement are still available, but the electronic module has to be sent in for exchange. Your watchmaker would get a rebuilt one back. But of course he would have to have a parts account with Omega to do this... Cheers, Al
There's now a complete movement, dial and hands in working order listed for auction on eBay. I have no affiliation with the seller.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...675?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e1d05debPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
