An office mate found this Omega in the estate of a family member. He would like to know more in terms of year and market value. He described the caseback as screw on type with 14K markings.
Update: Ok, I must confess. After taking this thing to a local jewelry store and verifying its gold value, I offered a fraction of the melt value to the owner and kept the watch. The watch is now on the hands of a newly found watchmaker for a full service, light buff and clean job. A new leather strap to fit a lady's tiny wrist is also on order. I think this will be a great piece to place in a Christmas stocking. A wrist shot will follow after Christmas! ;-)
I need to find some office mates like yours. Congrats on the acquisition, that will be a very nice stocking stuffer.
and here she is..after an engine and body wash and sporting a nice de Beer lizard strap. She does look much better in the flesh...now need to find some wrapping paper..
Naaa.. this one is about 25mm in size....or about 11-12mm away from my dress watch size threshold It will look just perfect on her tiny wrist and she will enjoy the small touch of ....uhh shinny!! hopefully keep her away from my other watches!
