Not rare, but uncommon. It looks like it might be okay but who can tell with pictures like that?

Dial looks OK to me, but would reserve judgement until its in hand or larger photos are provided.

Looked pretty good to me also. Printing is correct with the large "C". Fish isn't drowning, like some we've seen. Very slight loss of enamel. Crown is correct.

Price is more than I would pay, but I'm not a gambler like some others here.

And it's reached me! Quite the beauty, unfortunately, whilst giving it a clean, I seemed to have tarnished the rose gold plating! Any tips on how I could go about removing the tarnish, apart from replating? :(

What did you use to "clean" it?

Nice watch! Did you polish it or only clean? Not seen one in rose before!

Some alcohol swabs .... Dumbass move on my part, I know! :whipped:

Looking at the seller's original pics, it seems that the tarnish already existed.. Weird that I only noticed it after the "clean" :cautious:

Thanks Alex! Only gave it a "clean". Its really a beauty in real life; the plating's a lovely shade of pink and its still pretty thick with sharp edges - you would have loved this! ;)

I've not done this before, but is there any merit to using toothpaste for clearning tarnish, as some websites claim? ::confused2::

Hmm, wouldn't the toothpaste be a bit corrosive or abrasive? ::confused2::

Not sure, wikihow claims it's possible (see method 4), but I have my doubts, hence my original question. Thank goodness I haven't had the chance to put it to the test.

Your new watch is very nice.

I had an almost identical in the rose gold.
Enclosed a picture of it. Unfortunately sold :(

    I usually use http://www.clasohlson.com/se/Displaypolish/32-8192.
Absolutely perfect on plexiglass. On the case, I use polishing cloths for gold.
