I understood him as making a statement with the question being only whether the customization was done for the original owner. My question was directed to woodwkr2 as he would be the one to know what he meant.
As I'm not so interested in interpreting other people's posts, I would like to ask if all of the embellishment is a factory original feature of the watch, or whether it is a later customisation.
This is how I purchased this watch. I have no way of knowing if the texture was done at the factory or later. The cuts are done with much control. I have never seen this kind of surface treatment. If one wants one of a kind vintage watch this definitely is one.
