I’m kind of afraid of it competing with a smp for wrist time...although I wish it was 42mm

They’re fun pieces , very very different in character so not sure it would compete as much as complement depending on your mood.

True, if I stick with seafoam and not one of the conservative ones...

But what’s the fun in that? The great thing about this series is how bold and playful they are while retaining some sort of balance. To get one of these zodiacs and not go a little bold seems a waste to me

The new one's look nice. Definitely think you should go with a colorful one. If you prefer it to be 42 mm, I'm guessing you don't have interest in the vintage sea wolfs. My wrist size is on the other end of the spectrum so I'm not sure the new ones would be a fit. Wondering if anyone here might have any leads on a vintage sea wolf bakelite.

I owned one for a period of time. I thought it looked nice, but overall I felt the overall details were a bit of a let down for the price. The crown was a little wiggly, there was some playback on the bezel, and the crown on my mode was unsigned. I don’t know if they have addressed these issues or not in newer releases. I had the model pictured, but this is not my photo.

some of the new zodiacs are more tasteful than others. most offer some type of flash, which is bad or good depending on taste

some of the newer ones had a decent street price new as well (around 6 bills)

i have the one of the first releases. a titanium, no-date LE of 82..it's sized right @ 39/40mm and light as a feather. if i had a bad thing to say is that the dial indices catch light the sparkle. wish they went in a more vintage direction here.....and there is a glare with the crystal if you look for it.

overall it still does check many boxes for me and is a chronometer to boot. it has a close to a 12/15 hundo price if you can find one

I'm curious about the Zodiac super sea wolf 53.
What can you expect for the price of around 1200 dollars?
Never owned a Zodiac, but interesting fact that the us marines chose this over the Blancpain back in the 50s..

it was less expensive for the soldiers in the 60's. pretty sure it was around 70 when a rolex sub was 120/130.......lol

those vintage sea wolfs don't age that gracefully. the bezel is as cheap as it comes

watch station has big discounts every now and then. and there use t be 1 or 2 big outfits on the bay with a deep discounts offered
