What advice do you expect? BTW Zenith El Primero Prime was introduced in 1993. El Primero cal 420 movements were produced in 1993-1998.
Not a lot of data points on these. Not huge sellers when they came out. Pre internet so not a lot of data out there on them, and not old enough to be collected yet, or researched. Few people are aware of them. That being said, if Zenith put this watch out today it would sell like hot cakes. 38mm classicly styled, Chrono, hand wind by Zenith a brand getting hotter again... this is what a lot of people want right now. This is by far the better of the 2 color variations I’ve seen. If I remember right it’s an El primero movement minus the automatic winding. But don’t quote me in that. So it could go up in price or it could stay in the sub 2k area... hard to read it, and the direction Watch nerds will go. It might take one Hodinkee article to spike the prices... or there might not be enough out there to get the prices to rise as no one is really aware of them.
I’m a fan of hand wound chronographs. A lot less to go wrong in inside. These are under appreciated. I owned one and regret selling.
Thank you for the info. I have been looking at the Zenith El Primero Grande Class and ran across this. Curious what the other color is? Is this chocolate or black?
