    Dear respected experts,

I just bought a nice Zenith (I talked about it here): I don't know the reference, but it supposed to be from 1948.

After one week of perfect running (the power reserve was near to 40 hours), the watch was every day more hard to wind and every day I could wind less turns: from 22 (that in my little experience are too little) to 13 - 14.

This morning I barely wind 10 turns and it stopped at lunch. I tried to wind it again, but only 1 turn was possible.

I ask to the seller (a "friend", the same where I had a fake jubilee...) and he told me that it was just serviced... and that I cannot expect the same performance from a modern watch, but that's just... you know... at least disappointing.

So, I'm wondering about what to do with this watch: I like it, but I don't want to do a service that would cost more then the watch itself...

What do you think about this problem? What would you do to solve it?

    Thank you very much! :)

If your friend just had it serviced, he should take it back to the watchmaker who serviced it.
If not find another friend and forget about this one !
